What GPS time tracking means
GPS time tracking captures the latitude, longitude and (optionally) the site name of every time entry made from a mobile phone. It gives office and project managers proof that hours were logged from the actual work site, not remotely.
How JTMS GPS tracking works
The JTMS mobile app requests location permission the first time it is opened. Whenever an employee starts or stops a timer, or saves a manual entry, the app captures the coordinates and attaches them to that entry. Managers can then see a map view of hours per site, per day.
Who uses it
Construction supervisors verifying site visits, field service engineers logging visits per customer, sales teams recording client meetings, on-site consultants billing per location, facility management teams running multiple sites in one city.
Privacy — opt-in and project-scoped
GPS is opt-in and can be enabled per project. Continuous background tracking is never used. Employees see clearly that location is captured and can review every entry from their own device.
Reports built on top of GPS
Site attendance report, hours-per-site, exception report (entries without a GPS pin), off-site entries, geo-fenced site visits.
